Since the solution is very basic, there are only a very few characteristics to modify, such as the content of the webinars, the platform and the discussion method. 

Webinars are a very general solution that can easily be transferred and used in other places. The interviews showed that it does not take a lot of effort to organize such webinars. 


During the early waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially during lockdowns or when there were limitations on public gatherings, official health organizations, such as the Ministry of Health and Magen David Adom organized online webinars, aiming the public, but also emergency professionals, with information on different issues regarding the pandemic. The goal of these webinars was mainly to provide information, but also to ask open questions. They were held as open online webinars to allow people to participate during the pandemic, when other options were not relevant. They were held online also to allow as many people as possible to participate, so distance will not be a barrier. 

The webinars covered many issues. From basic information about the pandemic and infection, through information about the vaccines and several webinars were also devoted to social welfare during COVID-19, mental state and others. 

The webinars, as mentioned before, were used also to address professionals, such as first responders. For example, to discuss barriers in vaccination acceptance or how to treat the society. 


The Israeli Ministry of Health (Magen David Adom) emergency services developed COVID-19 Webinars during the pandemic in 2020. Webinars with important information about the COVID-19 pandemic were held, in which participants were able to ask questions in Q&A sessions. This solution allowed the emergency services to identify what kind of information the public was interested in, and to prepare for answering their questions and providing the right information. Several webinars were held, not only targeting the general public, but also emergency professionals and first responders.
